Coleus varieties

Coleus come in many different varieties, and most are sold in series, each with its own character. Which series suits you depends on leaf size, colors and growth habit, and where the plant will live.

Colocha

The Colocha series has wavy, soft leaf edges that give the plant a ruffled look. The series comes in pink, red and chocolate-green colors and grows to 50 cm tall.

Fairway

The Fairway series is low-growing and bushy with small leaves that give you a long season of beautiful colors. The plants grow to around 20 cm tall and do best in partial shade to shade.

Giant Exhibition

The Giant Exhibition series has large leaves that handle hot conditions well. The plants do best in partial shade to shade and grow to 50 cm tall.

Kong

The Kong series has the largest leaves of any coleus. The colorful leaves can grow big enough to cover a person's face! The plants grow to around 50 cm tall and do best in shade. That is when the leaf colors are at their most vivid and crisp.

Kong Jr

The Kong Jr series has large heart-shaped leaves. The bushy plants grow 45–65 cm tall and do best in partial shade to shade.

Mezmerize

The Mezmerize series has patterned leaves in shades of chocolate, rust, lime and pink. The plants grow 40–50 cm tall, and Chocolate Rose is one of our most popular varieties.

Premium Sun

The Premium Sun series has tall, bushy, heat-tolerant plants with medium-sized leaves. It was bred for sunny spots and handles full sun clearly better than other coleus. Heights range from 25 to 75 cm depending on the variety.

Superfine Rainbow

The Superfine Rainbow series is bushy with vivid colors and medium-sized leaves. The plants do best in partial shade to shade and grow to around 35 cm tall.

Wizard

The Wizard series is bushy with crisp colors and medium-sized leaves. The plants do best in partial shade to shade and grow 30–35 cm tall.

Which series is right for you?

You have a sunny balcony or patio – Premium Sun is the series made for sun.

You have a hot but shady spot – Giant Exhibition handles the heat but still prefers shade.
